Hello Sam and thanks for checking into the site. I hope you like how things have changed recently. You pose a very good question and you would think a local police dept. would have access to a K-9 Unit that can search for living people based on scent and cadaver (searching for deceased people).

Unfortunately, they don't and that is something we are trying to bridge for the people living in those jurisdictions that need the support capability supplemented. We are still in the early stages of finding volunteers all over the world that can handle cases just like this to bring them to closure quickly. This is one of the those cases that given the proper tools, could be solved within minutes or hours.

Haven't logged into the site in a while and the first thing I see is this poor old guy missing wearing basically a robe and using a walker? He's been missing for two days and not found yet? This is shocking to think, does the local PD have any kind of dogs that can follow his scent to where he is? Any of you Search and Rescue people have any ideas?
