Details of Disappearance
According to open source information, Trevor Michael Nichols (24 at the time of disappearance), was an active U.S. Army member prior to being declared AWOL by the military. Open source information indicates Trevor Nichols was last seen at a train station on 11/17/2017 in Syracuse, NY where he was believed to be traveling to Fort Riley in Kansas.
Trevor Nichols left behind his drivers license, U.S. Military Identification Card and his cell phone. Trevor Nichols was assigned to 10th Mountain Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team as of November, 2017. On November 15, 2017 his duty status changed to Absent without Leave (AWOL) and on December 18th, 2017, Trevor Nichols had his duty status changed to Deserter. Trevor Nichols had previously deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq. Trevor Nichols returned from his Iraq deployment in May, 2017.
