Connection to Victim
According to open source reporting, Cecilia Barber Finona was last seen at her residence on 05/30/2019. On 06/01/2019, the family of Finona attempted contact with Finona at her residence and did not make contact. The family members were unable to locate Finona, but identified her purse  and vehicle were still at home.

Finona was reported in open source information to live with her boyfriend, Jerry Jay. Jay was described as a Native American male in his late 50s, 5’7", 180 lbs. with grey hair and brown eyes. Law Enforcement initially reported the two may traveling in a white 2016 Ford F150 crew cab pickup with New Mexico license plate 221RSM. At the time of Finona's disappearance, Law Enforcement had reason to believe Finona was in danger.

In approximately February 2021, a body was discovered in Clark County, Nevada. In the following months, DNA testing confirmed the body to be the remains of Finona as disclosed by Law Enforcement.

Jay, 69, who had been the primary person of interest in Finona’s disappearance, has since been charged with murder, kidnapping and tampering with evidence in the death of Finona.
