Erica Nicole Hunt was last seen by family or friends on July 04, 2016.

According to open source information, Erica Nicole Hunt was last seen on approximately 07/04/2016, near a relative's house in Opelousas, LA. Hunt's roommate reported her missing on 07/05/2016. Hunt has not been seen or heard from since.

***UPDATE***

On 02/05/2021, State Police investigators announced positively confirming a forensic match to Erica Hunt. Human remains were found in a rural area of Evangeline Parish, LA in 2018. The remains were identified as belonging to Erica Nicole Hunt, the Opelousas woman reported missing in 2016.

The skeletal remains were found during a search for a missing child at the time, but not identified until two years later through the efforts of the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab, the LSU Forensic Anthropology and Computer Enhancement Services (FACES) Laboratory and the DNA Doe Project.

Hunts’s death is being investigated as a homicide and the public is asked to call authorities with any information that may be of assistance in the case.
