Medical Alert	An elopee is a person who is subject to detention at a psychiatric facility but is “absent without leave.” Officers said Kalib Dufty, 33, was reported missing in the King Street West and Cowan Avenue area in June 2022 and was located. Police said Dufty was found not criminally responsible for second-degree murder.

A 34-year-old man deemed not criminally responsible for a deadly 2013 stabbing in Scarborough is on the run for the second time in 18 months.

Toronto Police say Kalib Dufty, who cops also had to track down in 2022, was last seen in the area of Coxwell and Mortimer Aves. – where Michael Garron Hospital is located.

Dufty was 23 years old when he was charged with second-degree murder after a 58-year-old man was stabbed to death in a basement apartment at 1678 Kingston Rd., near Birchmount Rd., on April 30, 2013.

The victim’s name was not released at the time.

Dufty was found not criminally responsible (NCR) for the killing on April 24, 2017.

“He is currently bound by a Form 49 Warrant of Committal and Disposition of Detention,” Const. Laura Brabant said Wednesday, explaining Dufty was committed to the custody of a provincial psychiatric hospital.

Dufty also fled custody on May 31, 2022, but he was located the next day.
