Joshua Keshaba Sierra Garcia was last seen by family or friends on August 12, 2003.

According to open source information, Garcia was in the custody of relatives at the time of the kidnapping. The family had traveled to Mexico City to have Garcia baptized.

During the kidnapping, Garcia's 15-year-old babysitter was murdered. After a series of ransom calls, a money drop resulted in the arrest of one kidnapper by Mexican authorities, however Garcia has not been located.
