Arbana Pepion, the mother of Arden Pepion, has passed away.
Her passing was announced by Diana Burd and shared to the Arden Pepion-Holding Hope SAR Facebook which is dedicated to finding Arden, a then 3-year-old who went missing in 2021.

A man has been sentenced to nine months of house arrest after pleading guilty to negligent endangerment in the case of a 3-year-old girl who went missing on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation in April.
Pepion, who was 3 years old when she went missing, was last seen on the banks of the Two Medicine River. She was under the supervision of her uncle, HaHaax Vielle, who later pleaded guilty to negligent endangerment, according to reporting from KRTV.

CIRCUMSTANCES OF DISAPPEARANCE
Arden Pepion was last seen in the surrounding areas of Joe Show East Road in Browning near the Two Medicine River. Arden was last seen with her noncustodial uncle, Leo Wagner, 26, who also went missing from the Blackfeet Reservation in April. He was last seen on April 27 near the St. Mary/Babb area.
Arden had been missing between five and six hours before Law Enforcement was contacted. An AMBER Alert was not issued based upon the circumstances of her case not meeting the "specific criteria". Montana Department of Justice issued a Missing and Endangered Person Advisory (MEPA).
Investigation thus far determined Arden was not abducted. Footprints matching Arden Pepion's have been found, such as a boot believed to be Arden's in the river. Reports indicate search teams have used canines, drones and horses to cover the area.
