Volunteer Terms of Service

These Volunteer Terms of Service (“Terms”) outline the agreement between you (“Volunteer”) and the Missing Persons Center (“Organization”) regarding your volunteer activities. By participating as a volunteer, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Eligibility: a. Volunteer must not have been convicted of a felony or any crime involving a child.

  2. Confidentiality: a. Volunteers may not disclose, discuss, or share any information obtained through their involvement with the Organization, including but not limited to case details, website content, or organizational activities, without prior written consent from the Organization.

  3. Volunteer Status: a. The Organization reserves the right to revoke the volunteer status of any volunteer at any time and for any reason, without prior notice.

  4. Ownership and Usage: a. Any information entered into the Missing Persons Center database, funds raised, or images produced by the Organization are the exclusive property of the Organization. b. Volunteers do not have any right of ownership or entitlement to any percentage of funds they may raise or have raised to support the Organization’s mission.

  5. Liability: a. Volunteers agree to hold harmless the Missing Persons Center and its representatives from any activities that may cause liability to the Organization arising from their actions.

  6. Communications: a: At no time are volunteers permitted to contact law enforcement agencies, private individuals or businesses as a representative of, or doing work on behalf of the Missing Persons Center.

  7. Contact Information: a. The Organization’s website address is missingpersonscenter.org. b. The Organization’s mailing address is 21606 Devonshire St., Los Angeles, CA 91313.

By volunteering with the Missing Persons Center, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms. The Organization reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time, and any changes will be communicated to volunteers in a timely manner.  Any volunteer found to be in violation of the above terms is subject to removal from volunteer service without notice.
